Hard To Find 06:15
I drove twelve straight hours to reach my final destination. To find that girl with the purple hair and the wild imagination. I jumped down off the 405 and I finally stood beside her. She said, "Take it easy boy. This is a whole different world." I asked her if she knew where I could get a cool tattoo and dye my hair. She just smiled and gave me that empty California stare. "Never seen the stars at night except for pictures in magazines. Don't pretend to feel so sad, that's what life out here means to me." And if you don't believe in monsters, one night on these streets gonna change your mind. If you don't believe in anything at all - change your mind. 'Cuz in the city of angels, Heaven is hard to find. I sit on my back porch, get drunk, and listen to the howling wind. Wonder quietly to myself if I'll ever go back there again. Think about that girl and does she still feel the way I do? Set down my bottle as my memory slowly fades from view.

You be the knife at my throat, and i will be the thorn in your side. i'm not saying the world has done you wrong, but it sure as hell never did you right. and if you want it, there's a world waiting right outside. And it's killing me slowly this endless parade of hope and regret passes by, one by one waving, and smiling so fake. and if you want it, there's a world waiting right outside. and if you need it, just take me by the hand. Bottle every ounce of pain and hide away, so deep let me know just how it feels to be momentarily free... You be the knife at my throat, and i will be the thorn in your side. i'm not saying the world has done me wrong but it sure as hell never did me right. and if you want it, just reach out and grab it. and if you need it, there's a world waiting right outside. and if you need it, just take me by the hand.

hey, Jack 04:38
why you gotta be so backed in a corner? everything you do makes me want to follow you but i can't get any farther why you make it so easy to adore you? but everything you say makes me want to run away i can't try any harder. but hey, Jack... when you coming home? why you make it so hard to cross your borders? when all i try to do is get to you, it's like talking under water. and why you make it so easy to want to ignore you? but everything you do makes me want to follow you i can't try any harder. but hey, Jack... when you coming home? why you gotta be so backed in a corner? everything you do makes me want to follow you but i can't get any farther why you make it so easy to adore you? but everything you say makes me want to run away i can't try any harder. but hey, Jack... when you coming home?

about

Jesse James Burnitt Salt Lake City, Utah

I'm a rock guitarist by trade, and I love the show. A little flash, a little swagger. A bit cerebral and a ton of soul.
The music I upload here will represent a return to my roots, of sorts. Folk, Americana, Southern Gothic, Roots.
